Purpose:
TAHP is a commonly used initiator for free radical reaction. It is characterized by good thermal stability, safe use, and easy control. Its activity does not change significantly within three months at temperatures below 50 ℃, and there is no need for costly frozen storage. It can be used in lotion polymerization, aqueous polymerization, curing, grafting polymerization and other fields. Its performance is superior to that of persulfate, cumene hydroperoxide, and benzoyl peroxide in many aspects. The decomposition products of TAHP are mainly tert butanol , which are non corrosive and do not require high equipment requirements. Most other initiators will form acidic byproducts.
TAHP is also widely used as an initiator for the polymerization of styrene and styrene copolymers (such as SAN, ABS, etc.), acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, and vinyl chloride.
TAHP is a very important intermediate in organic synthesis.
packing:
The standard packaging is a polyethylene plastic bucket with a net weight of 25 kilograms or 180 kilograms, which can also be packaged in IBC. However, it is important to note that when using IBC packaging, the SADT is 50 ℃ and the critical temperature is 55 ℃. Small packaging can also be packaged according to user specifications.
TAHP is a Class E liquid organic peroxide, with a cargo classification of 5.2 and a United Nations number of 3107. It is a packaging for Class II dangerous goods
Safety precautions:
(1) Keep away from sparks, open flames, and heat sources.
(2) Avoid contact with reducing agents (such as amines), acids, bases, and heavy metal compounds (such as accelerators, metal soaps, etc.)(3) Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of this product.
Storage conditions:
Keep the packaging sealed and in a well ventilated state, with a maximum storage temperature of 35 ℃. Avoid mixing with reducing agents such as amines, acids, alkalis, and heavy metal compounds (accelerators and metal soaps). It is strictly prohibited to pack or use in the warehouse.
Storage stability:
Store according to the manufacturer's instructions, and the product can meet the factory technical standards within six months.
Fire extinguishing:
Small fires need to be extinguished with dry powder or carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, and a large amount of water should be sprayed to prevent reignition. A large fire requires spraying a large amount of water from a safe distance.
