Safety precautions:
(1) Keep away from sparks, open flames, and heat sources.
(2) Avoid contact with reducing agents (such as amines), acids, bases, and heavy metal compounds (such as accelerators, metal soaps, etc.)
(3) Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of this product.
Purpose:
1. Polymerization of vinyl chloride:
LPO is widely used in aqueous suspension polymerization and bulk polymerization reactions, with polymerization temperatures ranging from 60 to 75 ℃. In many cases, LPO can be used in combination with other highly active peroxides, such as peroxydicarbonate esters (peroxydicarbonate di-4-tert-butyl cyclohexane) or peroxyesters (peroxyneodecanoic acid-1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl ester), which can increase their reaction activity.
2. Ethylene polymerization:
LPO is used for polymerization initiation of high-pressure polyethylene, and due to its poor solubility, it is often replaced by isononyl peroxide. However, the biggest advantage of LPO is that it can be stored at room temperature.
3. Polymerization of acrylate and methacrylate:
LPO can also be used for the polymerization reaction of acrylic esters, with a polymerization temperature of 60-90 ℃
4. Polymerization initiator for ABS resin:
LPO is also an important initiator for ABS polymerization reaction. It is used in combination with 1,1-ditert-butylperoxy-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexane (LQ-CH335) and has a good initiating effect.
